Mechanic - Bubble Tether: Build bubble meter to opponents using your skills and use your scarf to grapple towards them- dealing damage and giving lots of movement
- [LIGHT] “Special Delivery” ( 1 ): Jaws adjacent projectile that homes in on racers that doesn’t deal any damage- just adds to that racers bubble ring and slows them down super briefly. Super cheap!!
- [NEUTRAL] ”Pop Off!” ( 2 ): Simple speed boost that leaves a trail of tiny bubbles that add one bubble to their ring and slows them down briefly
- [STRONG] ”Blown Bubble” ( 4 ): A seemingly stationary bubble that once a racer drives into it- it instantly adds 3 bubble to their bubble ring and does a soft spin-out. I say ‘seemingly stationary’ because bubble will subtly move towards nearby racers
- [OVERDRIVE] ”Bubble Bath” ( 10 ): Everyone is now in your bubbled state- allowing you to grapple past everyone and bump into them, sending them flying
- ~~[OVERDRIVE] ”Super Pop!” ( 10 ): Sends out 5 bubble projectiles that all home in to racers and instantly puts them inside a bubble. Holding forward shoots them in a spread motion forward across 180 degrees, Backwards does the opposite, holding none of the two sends them in all directions across 360 degrees (less accuracy)~~
Most of Kero’s moves causes bubbles to follow or revolve around other racers- or the racer is in a bubble, putting them into a bubbled state. When Kero is near a bubbled racer, she can homing attack to them (visually represented by Kero grappling with either her hair or her scarf).
-
It should probably deal damage when she grapples to them.
-
When a new bubble is put onto a racer, it should briefly slow them down, and then shooting multiple bubbles at them would stack that brief slow down together?…
-
MAYBE you have to build up the amount of bubbles on each racer
-
MAYBE the amount of bubbles on a racer decides the distance you can grapple in from (more bubbles == more distance)
-
Getting enough bubbles around them would maybe trap them inside of a bubble briefly
-
When/If they’re INSIDE of a bubble, then maybe they have some debuff applied such as floating into the air and losing control OR just a speed debuff?…
-
Question is, would the bubble ring per racer be shared across every Kero OR would there somehow be separate ones for each Kero in a race?
B- But what about her bubble shield gimmick? 🥺
idk- I wouldn’t mind giving it to someone else, it doesn’t really make sense with her theme too much…
